As an editor, I work with text all day long. I think I’ve typed more words in my career than other people have typed in their entire life. You can see then why I would like a game like the KraiSoft Entertainment-developed ABC Island. I like this game because, surprise, surprise, it focuses on words.

To hype you up, here’s how the developer presents the game:
“Let's take a journey to the pirate's island through the heavy sea. Your observation and your word knowledge will guide you in your search of the hidden treasure of the ABC. So cast off all ropes, set sail and put out to sea in ABC Island - new addicting word game.”

The goal in this game is quite simple: you have to put letters together to create words. You are presented with a grid of letters – choose the ones that make up a correct word. There are also bonus letters that are worth extra points and a few other bonus items. The ABC Island game, just to put things in perspective, recognizes more than 90,000 words.

There are three game modes to choose from: Strategy, Arcade, and Quest. In Strategy mode, your goal is to come up with the longest words you can find. In Arcade mode you play against the clock. In Quest mode you have to come up with quest words.

From a visual point of view, this game is a delight. The user interface is quite simple; so simple that it should not pose a problem to any user, even the greenest one. The game features good looking graphics, and interesting scenery. You will come across tropical islands and icy fiords, sea birds and merchant ships. The good looking graphics are accompanied by a nice soundtrack.

If you are looking for an interesting action puzzle game that tests your ability to put letters together to form words, ABC Island is well worth a try. You can try out this game for a trial period of 1 hour.
